Our trainees are individually accompanied by practical instructors. There is close cooperation with the relevant specialist seminars and vocational schools. We offer accommodation for trainees at the site.

During the training, the trainees take responsibility for their own project ideas in the facility and on the site. In the run-up to the training, we offer internships in the facilities of the site.

GFO Nursing Schools

We are committed to training (young) people for diverse and qualified work in healthcare professions - e.g. as midwives, OTAs or healthcare and nursing assistants, and our education center specializes in continuing and advanced training for GFO employees and external interested parties.

You would like to do an internship with us at the GFO Center Engelskirchen? You have come to the right place! An internship will give you a good insight into the activities and the scope of duties in the most diverse areas of elderly care. We offer internships for a wide variety of backgrounds:

  • Career exploration internship
  • Internship as part of vocational training (practical assignments)
  • Practical semester or internship within the framework of nursing studies
  • School internship
  • etc.

It goes without saying that the primary task of our professional staff is to care for and support our residents. Nevertheless, the needs of the people who entrust themselves to us often go beyond what we can provide - against the backdrop of health policy requirements.

For this reason, we welcome volunteers to support our work. We offer a wide range of opportunities for volunteering. If you enjoy contact with people, are looking for a meaningful occupation and would like to share your experiences with like-minded people, then you have come to the right place.

Volunteers choose the place and the tasks that they enjoy: in the afternoon care, the reading circle or as companions on walks. They contribute their own ideas for the care of our residents. Volunteers are an important pillar of our GFO Center Engelskirchen - Pflege & Wohnen St. Josef. Of course we insure you against accidents and liability risks.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in our home, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
